Oral Pathology, Medicine, and Biopsies

During your regular dental check-up, your dentist noticed something unusual in your mouth, and would like you to see an oral surgeon for evaluation... We know that these can be scary words to hear, but we are here to reassure you and help you.

The truth is, the vast majority of oral & maxillofacial work-ups prove to be treatable and benign; sometimes things turn out to be variations of normal tissues. However, it our responsibility to rule-out any malignant or locally aggressive issues, and that's where a simple biopsy becomes important. No diagnosis can be certain without one.

Your surgeon will be able to safely and comfortably take a tissue sample from the area of concern, and send it off to be examined by our preferred expert oral & maxillofacial pathologists. They will carefully review your biopsy and give your surgeon a diagnosis.

Once a diagnosis has been established, we then use our knowledge of pathology and medicine to provide you with the appropriate and necessary treatments to treat your issue.

Let our surgeons investigate what the issue at hand is and put your mind at ease!
